Life Lines
"I first came across Geraint Fielder's radio broadcasts in the comfort of my kitchen listening to Radio 4's 'Prayer for the Day'. Normally the programme either provides a timely thought to start the day or provokes me to want to throw my teacup at the radio. At first I only half-listened but gradually my attention was arrested (there is no other suitable word) by what the broadcaster had to say. This was the only week that I can remember setting my alarm to make sure that I caught it next day. The broadcaster was Geraint Fielder and although the programme was only a few minutes long it was breathtaking what he could achieve in such a short time. Afterwards other items on religious broadcasting slots became colourless and shallow by comparison. Geraint has a talent, and he uses it well. When you read on you will know exactly what I mean."

Voices Against Slavery
So often liberal-minded commentators in the media chastise Christians for their 'lack of compassion' against their favourites, not realising that the freedoms they enjoy today are down to Christians fighting on the side of the underdog in the past.
If you are fed up with this then get a copy of this book and shove it under their noses as it shows, in flowing prose, not only how Christians were centrally involved in the abolition of the slave trade in the past - but how they are continuing to do so today.
Makes you proud to be a Christian (oops! - might have committed a sin there!)

Top 100 Questions Remix
I adapted this book from Richard's excellent 'Top 100 Questions' because young people are increasingly being challenged about their faith in quite aggressive ways. The idea behind this book is not to 'disprove' the questioner but to give you the conversational answers you need to start a dialogue.
