Christian Focus Across the Web

Gavin MacKenzie

Christian Focus Across the Web highlights important news and blog posts related to our books.  This week’s highlights are below:

Kevin Bidwell shared some thoughts about Philip Ross' new book, From the Finger of God: The Biblical & Theological Basis for the Threefold Division of the Law on his blog (kevinbidwell.blogspot.com).  Kevin says, "A brand new book has just passed through my hands by Philip Ross, From the Finger of God: The Biblical and Theological Basis for the Threefold Division of the Law. It is rather a lengthy title and it is a book that is quite academic but it's argument is very important. It is this. The law God manifests a threefold division; the moral, ceremonial and civil aspects of the law." Kevin's full post is available here: LINK. Sheila Stephen posted a review of Carine Mackenzie's Little Hands Learning to Pray at the Evangelical Movement of Wales (www.emw.org.uk). Sheila says, "This is another hardback book in Christian Focus’ Little Hands series for children, written by a prolific author. This book could be used in family prayer times, in small Sunday school classes, or given to children in lower junior age groups to read for themselves." Sheila's full review is available here: LINK. Shaun Tabatt posted a review of Catherine Mackenzie's What God Says: God is Always Fair over at Bible Geek Gone Wild (www.biblegeekgonewild.com). Shaun says, "As a parent of young children, I’m always excited to discover new ways for my kids to interact with God’s word. Attention spans can sometimes be a bit short amongst my youngsters, so a devotional reading or activity that can be covered in just a few minutes is ideal. The main thing I am on the lookout for is a way for my kids to experience God’s word…What I am most excited about with this series is that it provides a multi-sensory way for my children to interact with God’s word through reading, listening, and physical movement (coloring). My rating for What God Says: God is always Fair is highly recommended." Shaun's full review is available here: LINK.
