I have used this book as a basis for an adult Sunday School class on the life of Paul and have found it to be very helpful. I appreciate that the author has read many other sources on Paul, and has consolidated here the essential material needed to not only benefit from the field of research about the beloved apostle, but also, and more importantly, in connection with the text of Scripture. It is appropriate that this volume be included in the Mentor series, as it is indeed a scholarly text, but its academic tone is not such that a serious scholar of Paul should feel at a loss for understanding. I am indebted to the author for his work spent in researching and in writing this very useful tome. Many thanks!
