This is an attractive book, on the most important of subjects, written by the former Principal of Glasgow Bible College. It is scholarly without being technical, and informative without failing to be readable. It is divided up into conveniently short chapters, which can be read independently without loss.

Read more'In this wide ranging and well-written study, Geoffrey Grogan provides a clear, scholarly and reliable account of the identity of Jesus of Nazareth. The Christ of the Bible and the Church's Faith is marked on every page by a clarity of exposition and reliability of judgement . . . a careful and thoughtful sifting of evidence and a steady pursuit of conclusions that are in harmony with it. While familiar with trends in New Testament studies during the past two centuries, and grateful for the work of fellow scholars, Geoffrey Grogan concludes that there is only one consistent answer to the ancient question which Jesus himself asked, 'Who do you say that I am?' Theological students, Christian ministers and leaders will find it invaluable, but any serious reader to whom Jesus of Nazareth remains an elusive figure will also come to the conclusion that this is a book well worth reading.'
