Read Mark Learn (RML) is surely the benchmark for group Bible study and William Taylor’s second Luke volume reminds us just how high the RML standard is. It provides a complete tool box for those aiming at serious engagement with the text. Context, main themes, structure, aim and focused application support the suggested study questions. I can’t imagine there is anything else in the publishing world that could match this.

Read moreThis pithy and well–informed exposition is a delight to dig through. It concisely and creatively opens up Luke’s Gospel section by section. The footnotes show that the author has read widely and done his homework. Illustrations are numerous, some humorous, some harrowing (like contemporary accounts of tortured Christians). Most significantly, the character and brilliance of Jesus shine forth. Readers at all levels will deepen in their knowledge and devotion to him through the wisdom that abounds in these pages.
