It was not ours to understand, but our choice to whom to run to. Again, as we had prayed before, even when fear is real and we are helpless and powerless, we still have a
choice where we place our faith, in our own devices or intervention from others. It seems that the Holy Spirit was, at the deepest level, telling us to affirm God as our absolute, that in Him we can trust, that He knows the beginning from the end and that all things work together for good to them who love God.
Richard could tell a story – he really could. He had that gifting which not many people have of being able to capture an audience without drawing attention to himself, because in the end, what he had to say was not about him it was about Jesus.

The Reverend George Philip, the former minister of Sandyford Henderson Church, Glasgow, died recently. His funeral will take place on the 1st of March at his former church. He had a huge impact on the church in Scotland that will continue for decades to come. He has now entered into that rest which he longed for.
