Children’s Guidelines

Christian Focus publishes biblically accurate books for adults and children. Our children’s books are bright, fun and full of biblical truth, an ideal way to help children discover Christ for themselves.

General Guidelines

If you have an idea for a book that you would like us to consider, here are some guidelines to help you through the process.

First, please consider whether your book fits with our publishing ethos. As an evangelical, reformed, non-denominational publishing company, we believe that God’s word is true and Jesus Christ is Lord. We aim to help children discover God and to inspire in them a love for the Bible, both now and later in their lives. We generally do not publish fiction, poetry or rhyming books. If you are not sure whether your idea would be a good fit for us, get in touch.

Next, consult the list of ongoing series below, and let us know if your book would be a good fit. We are accepting submissions for these series and would be pleased to receive any proposals for them.

We welcome proposals of age-appropriate Bible teaching, apologetics and devotional books for children.

For submissions of books of ten chapters or longer, we require the following:

For other submissions, we require the following:

Please send submissions to submissions@christianfocus.com, noting that it is a children’s book.

Points of Interest

As an author, it is not your responsibility to organise the artwork.

Once manuscripts are submitted, the review process can take between three and six months.

We receive many good manuscripts and can publish only a fraction of them.

Series in Print

Trailblazers
This series is aimed at 9-14-year-olds and retells the stories of well-known Christians of the past. All titles focus on the subject’s love of the Lord Jesus and the forgiveness of sins that he purchased on the cross. They are biographical in context, not fictional, but do make use of imaginative dialogue to illustrate facts that would otherwise be heavy and tedious. The books all include these additional features:

  • Thinking Further topics to encourage the reader to ask questions, investigate scripture and pray.

  • A Timeline to help contextualise the events described in the book.
