Carl Trueman on The Secret Thoughts of an Unlikely Convert

In a number of blog posts on Reformation 21 and also a recent episode of the Mortification of Spin podcast, Carl Trueman has been making note of a recent book titled The Secret Thoughts of an Unlikely Convert: An English Professor's Journey into Christian Faith by Rosaria Champagne Butterfield (Crown & Covenant Pub, 2012). In his review Trueman says, "I cannot recommend this book highly enough. I do not agree with everything she says; but I did learn from everything she wrote. It deserves the widest possible readership."

Back in 2007 we published Truth and Love In a Sexually Disordered World by David Searle (editor). Chapter five of this book (One Homosexual's View) is a helpful addition to this conversation, giving one homosexual's view of how undermining the Biblical witness on sexual ethics harms those who struggle with same-sex attraction. It's available as a free PDF download here: LINK.
